FaceLook vs Facebook

Facebook is wonderful. Across the miles, near or far, I can see pictures of you, find out your latest status, check out your profile page and read your latest posts and likes. I enjoy the back and forth comments, whether serious, controversial or just plain fun. I like you, and I want to be your friend.
Who wouldn't?          Friends are the best.
But to tell you the truth, I prefer "FaceLook" to FaceBook.  With Face "Look", I am able to view your profile, rather than just read it. I see your status and can comprehend your great position in person. Your lovely face is what I "like". The twinkle in your eye, your endearing smile and your infectious laughter inspire and reassure me that life is beautiful and a priceless gift from God.  In Face "Look," I see the laugh lines that reveal your real age and wisdom. While I am admiring your countenance, your God-given strengths and characteristics are displayed to me. There is nothing that can take the place of catching a glimpse of  tears running down your precious face in sympathy of a shared experince or an emotional connection in our ..".FaceLook". Your comforting, gentle touch on my shoulder can not compare to a thousand "likes". Your face is dear to me....irresistable, exquisitely adorable, charming, delightful, ..--absolutely stunning!....BEAUTIFUL!...This is true of whomever you may be...whom I love and call my "friend." This is so, because God made you that way. He loves you and he "likes" you and he wants to "friend" you as well...and he designed you for face to face encounters with friends and family to encourage one another to keep going and live the abundant life he has offered us.. ..."Share" with each other and above all---"FaceLook" and love!
Yes, I "like" facebook, but I love to look at your face,--- and I love you!!

The Lord's Soul Spa

God has a spa for the soul. It is by quiet waters in a lovely setting of green pastures..  As you approach it, you will be guided in beautiful paths of righteousness, and this is for His sake. He comforts you and accompanies you, so there is no need to fear. Your soul is restored and refreshed by the Living Water. The LORD will pour oil over your head, which will produce an overflowing, joyful spirit in you! You will be taken to a delightful table, beautifully set with many delicasies that could even cause your enemies to be envious!
.
When your spa time is over, you will be filled with goodness and love which will last the rest of your life!
(Inspired by Psalm 23)
The first and third picture above are by my nephew, Jimmy Walker. An awesome photographer!

Aging gracefully

"When grace is joined with wrinkles, it is adorable. There is an unspeakable dawn in a happy old age.
Victor Hugo

Now there's something to look forward to! Aging  gracefully~~~~ Not something we can do on our own. I believe as we walk through our life into old age close to the Lord and abiding in Him, then we are becoming graceful. And we are graceful --because we are reflecting the image of Christ. Beautiful, wrinkled, graceful faces, and lovely endearing, gentle spirits.
Dear Lord, I want to be like you. Thank you for your grace and mercy in my life. Amen
